MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
You are eligible to join the VAC Federal Credit Union if you meet one of the following criteria:

• You live, work, worship or attend school in Caddo, Bossier, Webster or DeSoto Parish.
• You or an immediate family member (spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, step-parent, step-child, step-sibling and adoptive relationships) are employed by the Veterans Administration, the Veterans Administration Medical Center, the Canteen department thereof, or a volunteer who works under the supervision of the VAMC staff in Shreveport.
• You or an immediate family member, as defined above, are employed by the Federal Housing Administration, Internal Revenue Service, Justice Department, U.S. Courts, Department of Labor, General Services Administration, Department of Army Reserve Center, Social Security, Small Business Administration, Selective Service, United States Secret Service, Railroad Retirement Board, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, Federal Railroad Administration, Department of Transportation, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
• You or an immediate family member are employed by one of our Select Employee Groups (SEGs). Click
• Spouses of persons who died while in the field of membership of this credit union; persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the field of membership; and organizations of such persons.

HOW MANY ACCOUNTS MAY ONE HAVE?
While each member may have only one primary savings account, each member is encouraged to open and use other types of accounts that we offer as well as accounts for family members.

JOINT OWNERSHIP
A member and another person or persons jointly own this account. The other person may but need not be a member. Each joint member on the account must sign the joint share account agreement to establish the account. Once established, each joint owner has full rights to deposit or withdraw money from the account. In the event of death of a joint owner, the surviving owner or owners shall own all shares in the account. Many married members have joint accounts with their spouse so that in the event of death of either, the survivor will have immediate access to the funds in the account. Remember, the joint owner may save or withdraw but may not borrow.
